Process

The plot is shared between stills and motion from the first recce. Colour sits in pre-production, not after picture lock. Finishing is not a stranger at the end of the job, and the archive is named so another team can open it a year later.

Lane
1

Lane

A recce of plaster and weather, and a one-page note of stills versus motion. If a modifier will not travel into coverage, we split the day on paper.

Plot
2

Plot

One key for stills and motion. No second truck. Gels and diffusion are named before we leave Krakowskie Przedmieście.

Hold
3

Hold

Tethered selects while the key still exists. Nobody waits for midnight to discover the frame on a card.

Grade
4

Grade

Warm without a postcard. Plaster and skin share a white. The show LUT is the stills LUT, written in pre-production.

Name

Masters for print, Rec.709, 1:1 and 9:16. An archive a producer can traffic without renaming every clip.
